OK, so any first website or blog post should say something about the purpose of that site and why anyone would want to bookmark it and continue to return to go see what's new and interesting.
And I intend to adhere to this concept as best I can.
To be honest and candid, I've not been good at following through on that and it will require a paradigm shift in my thinking to make it happen...
When I learned that Google provided domain names and domain names that broke out of that ubiquitous dot-com, dot-net and dot-org URL requirement I thought. well maybe I can come up with something catchy using dot-photography. And this is it.
And keeping with the "being honest" concept, I decided to use the Blogger service for a number reasons.
First, it's free.
Second, I've created other Blogger, blogs for myself and others.
Third, I'm tired of dealing with Wordpress and other site hosts that are complicated and actually have dissuaded me from keeping things current and interesting.
And fourth, I think Google will be around for a while and provides a "safe place" to host my site. I have unpleasant experiences with paid-for website hosts.
And to wrap up my first post for my new domain, I promise to work at least once a week to keep this site current and interesting.
