While I promised myself that I would make an honest effort to keep this blog updated, I've been easily distracted with the day to day life with my family and city activities.
Our son and granddaughter have been living with us for a few months. He is between residences and looking for an affordable apartment. Rent here in the Portland metro area is sky high as many people have moved here in the past couple of years.
So we have a cute little 4 1/2 year old with us part of the week.
I've started attending church again. Mostly because I need a spiritual refuge and also because I want to be part of Sue's spiritual life as well. The other positive thing is that our granddaughter is also attending church and Sunday school. She loves it.
So back on track with my photography. That's the purpose of this blog/website.
Our local artist group curates all of the wall art at our local center for the arts. One of the projects I'm responsible for and I have designed is called The Hot-Shot Challenge.
Essentially it is using a disposable camera to capture creative and quirky images and select up to three of the twenty seven frames on the roll to be printed and framed and then presented at the art center.
It will be interesting to see what is produced as with film you never know what you will get in the end.
At the same time I thought it would be fun to have my granddaughter take one of those cameras and capture her own imagery.
She and her dad went to the coast for a day and she used up her roll of film. She got the typical shots of her dad and other normal photos but there was one she shot that captured an eagle in flight that I thought stood our from the rest.
This is it.
She also took a photo just before this frame. She missed getting the eagle in this shot but ended up with another nice image I think here.
So I can see that the family has another budding photographer.
She has a free spirit that never tires out.
